Owner Spotlight: Jodell Clarke
I’m Jody Clarke, the proud owner of Jodell Clarke Designs LLC, an award-winning interior design firm in Dallas, Texas. I look forward to sharing my story and hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
I’ve always been a creative person, so in high school I set my heart on becoming an interior designer. But my guidance counselor talked me out of it and persuaded me to pursue an alternative career option.
Some years later, after the tragic events of 9/11, I realized how precious life was and learned to seize the moment by doing things that I loved, so I made my first foray into residential design. I enjoyed the role so much that I started my own luxury interior design firm in 2010.
Over the past ten years, my company has evolved and has become more efficient by using the internet for sourcing, procurement, accounting, and marketing. My favorite parts of my business are meeting new people, collaborating, and problem-solving. I especially enjoy when clients have possessions that they love and want to incorporate into their homes’ redesign.
To achieve the desired outcome, I pay meticulous attention to detail. I’m very optimistic and like to spread positivity wherever I go.
I attribute my success to being compassionate, listening to my customers’ needs, and always putting their interests first. I strive to create spaces that reflect my clients’ values and personalities, while being a good steward of their investment.
I always try to exceed my clients’ expectations. When a client sees the final reveal and says things like “I really love it” or “It looks even better than I imagined,” it gives me immense satisfaction.
When I’m not designing interiors, I like antiquing, reading, traveling, and dancing. I also volunteer for causes that support women, children, the homeless, and the hungry.
